Singapore's Foreign Affairs and Law Minister meets with Senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, both candidates for the 2016 US Presidential Election, during his visit to Washington DC.
SINGAPORE: The Republic's Foreign Affairs and Law Minister K Shanmugam met separately with US Senators and candidates for the 2016 presidential election, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, during his recent visit to Washington DC.
Mr Shanmugam also held meetings with Senator Cory Gardner, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on East Asia, the Pacific and International Cybersecurity Policy, and Representative Matt Salmon, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in its press release on Saturday (Jun 20).
Both Congressmen affirmed the bipartisan Congressional support for the longstanding Singapore-US relationship, while they also exchanged views on how to enhance the US' engagement of Asia and the importance of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), it added.
Separately, Mr Shanmugam met a bipartisan group of Congressional Chiefs of Staff at a Congressional Study Groups reception hosted by Singapore’s Ambassador to the US Ashok Mirpuri.
I would give anything to see obummer have to hand the crown to Cruz. It would kill him. 19 months. geez. Can’t wait for the debate.
He’ll probably resign beforehand so that “President Biden” can pardon him.
