Exclusive: Leaked Report Profiles Military, Police Members of Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs
The Intercept ^ | May 22, 2015 | Jana Winter and Jordan Smith

Nuclear power plant technicians, senior military officers, FBI contractors and an employee of “a highly-secretive Department of Defense agency” with a Top Secret clearance. Those are just a few of the more than 100 people with sensitive military and government connections that law enforcement is tracking because they are linked to “outlaw motorcycle gangs.”

A year before the deadly Texas shootout that killed nine people on May 17, a lengthy report by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives detailed the involvement of U.S. military personnel and government employees in outlaw motorcycle gangs, or OMGs. A copy of the report was obtained by The Intercept.

The report lays out, in almost obsessive detail, the extent to which OMG members are represented in nearly every part of the military, and in federal and local government, from police and fire departments to state utility agencies. Specific examples from the report include dozens of Defense Department contractors with Secret or Top Secret clearances; multiple FBI contractors; radiological technicians with security clearances; U.S. Department of Homeland Security employees; Army, Navy and Air Force active-duty personnel, including

What good is intrusive tracking infrastructure without some one to track?

They go after the first ones who will rise up against their tyrannical power grabs. Do not make yourself visible.

Obviously the solution to this problem is to ban motorcycles and to impose motorcycle control laws.

No one needs a loud motorcycle.

No one needs excessive amounts of chrome on a motorcycle.

No one needs to buy more than one motorcycle per month.

No one needs the unfettered right to purchase motorcycles from unregulated street dealers.

And etc.

And if we can regulate these dangerous assault weapons...er...vehicles, then we can make our neighborhoods and schools safe for the children!

THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!

Because if we save just one life, it’s worth it!

Any lists released yet of who was killed, who was wounded? Anyone charged with murder?

Was a time, not so very long ago, when such “tracking” of American Citizens was unlawful.

I had seen reference to this in passing.

I admit to not being completely settled in my mind as to what is a legitimate basis for LE surveillance on potential bad actors.

The problem with singling out otherwise innocents based on perhaps unwise associations, is that who gets to define what those unwise associations are?

Interesting report. I’d like to read their street gang version of the same thing.

and impossible.

I wonder what the political leanings(non self serving) are of these OMG's. I would imagine they have a similar view. The growth in Military and Ex Military, is it because of disillusionment with military policies and procedures (ROE)? I'd like to know.

I agree. If your bike sets off every car alarm on the street every Saturday night when the bars close that warrants death penalty consideration.

So, you are contending that ‘more than 100 people with sensitive military and government connections that law enforcement is tracking because they are linked to “outlaw motorcycle gangs’ are undercover and actually did the Twin Peaks attacking or are going to attack the OMG’s that by their actions are tyrannical power grabbers who violently intimidate any that oppose their criminal terroristic activity?

The main tool of the troll is accusation. It’s a form of psychological torture, to break you down by turning your words against you, twisting your statements and pounding away at one aspect of your viewpoint. No matter what you declare, the troll will question you as a person. Understand this immediately: it’s you as a person that they are attacking.

OK, I read some of the report.

I surmise that the problem is that Military men are deprived of the opportunity to be military.

Also PC, women, no God, ... in the military.

Fort Hood shooting - no one armed on base. (oops Gen Hood was Confederate)

Unarmed sentries on the USS Cole.

Etc.

I have read through about half of the report. My conclusions thus far:

Some members of some motorcycle clubs are involved in criminal activity. Some members of this groups have been convicted.

Some military members and civilian employees of federal agencies, along with some members of law enforcement are members of motorcycle clubs.

Some military members and government employees are involved in criminal activity and some have been convicted.

Some motorcycle clubs are located in the same state as military installations.

Some motorcycle clubs have rented National Guard Armories and/or arranged to hold events at local VFW clubs.

Some people belong to motorcycle clubs that, while not listed as an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMG), are believed to be one of the support groups of one of these OMG although exactly what this means is not clear.

Looks like plenty of smoke, I’m not sure that there is a flame.

No one is against the vast majority of law abiding citizens that are pleasure riders. Few if any of those peaceable law abiding type of motorcycle riders were stupid enough to be among the Bandidos and Cossack OMG’s at the Twin Peaks breasturant that day to discuss ‘motorcycle safety’.

It is the gang sympathizers here that continue to lump the good motorcycle riders in with the criminal gangs. Why is that?

Those under attack on these threads are those of us on FR that dare speak against the excusing and irrationally defending of criminal OMG’s by some Freepers who refuse to recognize the facts about those OMG’s or what took place at Twin Peaks. Why is that?

Given the number of people arrested and the amount of bail set, I'd think you'd be looking down the maw of a blast furnace in full song.

What happened to your IGNORE LIST? Are you now ignoring your ignore list?

FYI, my post was no more than to point out the absurdity of post 4. Where in my post 13 you are responding to is there any accusation or any form of psychological torture? Any torture is you conscious maybe knowing right from wrong.

Those of us that refuse to be intimidated by criminal OMG sympathizers here on FR only remind you all to present the facts, not some diversionary fantasy trying to hide the criminal activities of those gangers you want to imitate.

If you are being broken down by turning your words against you, that itself should give you pause to reconsider both your words and absurdity of your unworthy cause.
