Why would they give him a scholarship when his father is a multi-millionaire? I can see their accepting him on the team as a gesture to an entertainment star, but couldn’t he just pay the tuition?

Hmmm, you do know that a lot of NYC celebs arrange for their kids to be diagnosed with whatever problem for free tuition into the better (k-12) schools?

Having said that, with an "athletic" "scholarship", the academic requirements aren't all that rigorous, either.

If P.Diddy had been serious about his son's education, Brown U. has been known to bend over backwards to help celebs' less-than-mediocre offspring get a real education.

I'll guess that little p. didn't want to leave his homies, but he did want to increase his sexual attractiveness as a UCLA varsity football player, and daddy gets to brag as well.

Not to worry. I'm sure that if Janet Napolitano can find the time to stop screwing up CA's universities, she'll be right on the case to get rid of the strength trainer for racial aggression.
