I have tremendous sympathy for the children.

Her son, and now a new baby, growing up without fathers in the home.

She is incredibly selfish to do this to another child.

God meant for us to have both parents. Depriving a series of children from what God wants is terrible.

God meant for us to have both parents.

That was obvious for centuries. It seems to be a lost truth now.

This is dangerously illogical.

I hope the baby is Meyers. I hope they marry and QUIETLY live happily ever after with lots more babies. Shame is good and it shuts up.

Yes, I agree. And this is where it is the problem for a whole culture. We are making fatherhood optional - and it is the children who suffer.

Sarah Palin gave a greeting on father’s day, just recently, saying: “Thank you for being the rock upon which a family can be built!” And this is true. The rates of illegitimacy in any ethnic group corelate to the rates of crime and educational failure.

About two generations ago - earlier in the 20th century - a girl in this position would not be allowed to retain custody of her child (in Australia and Britain, and I suppose the United States). It would termed ‘in moral danger’, and given to either the grandparents - Todd and Sarah - or the father - Levi, he is married and has legitimate children. Only people with legally approved unions were seen as fit to raise a child. This was a harsh ruling, but it prevented children from being dragged around with different guest fathers, and the instability that involves.
