Obama criticizes Russian state-run media
Politico ^ | June 25, 2015 | By LEIGH MUNSIL

The state-run media in Russia is allowing President Vladimir Putin to get away with actions that aren’t in his country’s best interests, President Barack Obama says in an interview with VICE.

“The Russian economy is taking a hammer blow because of their incursions into Ukraine. It’s terrible for the future of Russia. But because ordinary Russians aren’t getting good information, there’s no check on what Putin may do,” Obama said in an interview set to air Friday on HBO, obtained by POLITICO.

“We’re raising the costs of what he’s doing in Ukraine to incredibly high levels, where rationally they would do something different," the president continued. "But he’s not necessarily operating based on those cost-benefit analyses because right now, he’s still popular.”

The “multiplicity of voices” in U.S. media prevents American presidents from getting away with overstepping their bounds, he added.

“Obviously, if there was state-run media in the United States, whoever the president was would have the ability to make whatever screwy policies they had look good as well,” Obama said. . .

Kind of ironic....

Although come to think of it.... I wonder if we have a State run media here, or a media run State. I could make a decent argument either way... or both at the same time.

Obama would actually like his own state-run media. He gets so peevish when anyone dares criticize his highness.

What about our voluntary state run media? He has no problem with that. He only gripes about Fox because it does not voluntarily submit to him like the other networks do.

Well, Solzhenitsyn warned us about our media in 78 during his Commencement speech to Harvard.....they never invited him back because he stated that the American Press (shock) was as bad as Pravda-—only the Soviets knew they were being lied to 24/7.

Our press is even WORSE now. Read Diana West and many other journalists who mention how hard it is to get any real hard news published-—it is all censored by the top obamophiles-—even Fox News-—only thsy are allowed to play the ‘Right’-—for the Dialectic.

They just can’t mention sodomy and “gay marriage” in any clear, harsh terms or bring up the harem boys in Afghanistan or Walid’Shoebat’s claim that all Saudis prefer Boys for sex...... since they are part and parcel of the normalization and the flipping of 2000 years of Ethics to the afghani muslim harem ethics of total irrationality and evil “for the children”.
