Someone needs to tell those nitwits they need to stop wearing anything made of cotton (since slaves used to pick it); stop drinking Pepsi and Coke products (since they were created in the South); stop drinking tea; stop eating any form of fried chicken or other fried foods; stop eating peanuts, etc etc etc

To: Lazamataz
I agree Laz.
Texas had its own war of Independence and had many historical battle flags that I love, I fly them and had some of them on my freerepublic home page. I used to look at the the CSA battle flag as just another battle flag of the past that represented the South in "The War of Northern Aggression". After this insane week I have a new love for it. The more the left wing kooks hate it, the more I embrace it. The more they go loco over it and scream take it down, the prouder I will display it. I never called it a "Rebel Flag" before, but since flying it now is an act of defiance that term may apply in some ways.
Whatever people want claim it meant flying 150 years ago is one thing, but to me it is certainly starting to take on new meanings now.

"battle flag"
For the record, that design is also on the last two official flags of the Confederacy.

The complete quotation was:
"America - love it or leave it. If it's wrong, make it right. If it's right, keep it right!"
We certainly have lost our way as a nation.

Re: “I wonder how long it will take before the loonies demand a new name for Washington State ... and of course, it's universities.”
Great point, Baynative.
Most people don't realize that “King County” (Seattle) is named for MLK. I actually did a half hour of research on Google and could not find the original county name.
Won't be long before visitors to Seattle will be enjoying the beautiful view of Farrakhan University from our famous Sharpton Space Needle.

We’ll call it North Oregon, South British Columbia, Ectopia, or Libtardia.

King county was originally named after William Rufus King, Vice President under Franklin Pierce.
