...sure, because they will be able to off load the massive medical payments for these relationships to the government.

the financial industry can applaud immorality all it likes...doesn’t make it right.

In today’s social/political climate, would any major company dare to say they opposed the marriage decision?????

I’m always puzzled about what has happened with marriage.

In 1996, the Defense of Marriage Act passed with overwhelming support, even among liberal members of Congress and Senate.

32 states out of 50 passed amendments to their constitutions defining marriage, often by huge margins.

Public opinion has definitely shifted on this subject in recent years. But the point is, even 15 years ago, most liberals who favored “gay rights” were not on board with same sex marriage as part of gay rights.

Homosexual marriage has gone in a short time from something which was unthinkable and had support only among the liberal fringe, to something which has now been imposed by the Supreme Court. And if you can believe public opinion polls, a slight majority of people now support homosexual marriage.

God is going to punish them, and our nation, with Economic Collapse.

"In an economy defined by increasingly harsh global competition, no large business can write off 5 to 10 percent of potential employees," Shapiro said.

Uh...I thought it was more like 2% to 3%?

This is what I have be3ensayiang for a long time. Big business and other business used to be our friends but they aren’t any longer. Under no circumstances should we support tax cuts, deregulation or other business welfare unless they accept our rules and that should be it.

It is not “gay” marriage. It is same-sex marriage.

The difference.

The traditional marriage laws restrict everyone (heterosexual and homosexual) to the same rules. You can only marry one person of the opposite sex, who is willing, of age, and not related, etc. Two men who were heterosexual (best buddies) could not marry even if they wanted to. Their “orientation” was irrelevant. It was based upon their both being the same sex.

Even “gay” people were free to marry according to these rules.

But that wasn’t enough. They wanted extra marriage rules.

Now they can marry someone of the same sex.

We never discriminated against them. We never discriminated against their “orientation.” We simply said that marriage is as God defined it (between opposite sexes).

In sum: more taxpayer funds will be spent and they’ll get a cut.
More government spending, more debt- Hooray!

This is how you know you are living in a socialist country.

Businesses, operating within a free and competitive market, succeed by having a better product and keeping its customers happier than its competitors.

In a socialist or communist country, businesses must make political calculations, not market ones, because they rely on the government to succeed. If you don’t have friends in the government, or worse, have enemies, you WILL fail.

Note, a free market is not an anarchal one. You still need justice to deal with cases of fraud, for example. Hence the concept of limited government.

The US socialist government, goes far beyond this though and businesses must blow with the wind, which, for now, is on the side of gay marriage.

This is also why they hopped on the confederate flag bandwagon, by the way.

Can you imagine this business behavior, say 40 years ago:

“Coke applauds the removal of US troops in Viet Nam”

Take your money out of big banks like BoA, Wells Fargo, etc, and go with small, local credit unions. I saw BoA had changed their Twitter avatar to the rainbow flag. If I hadn't dropped them like a bad habit a couple of years ago, I'd do it just because of that.
