Nearly 100,000 Nigerians turned out to see him over four days as he accompanied the executives of a Florida company called Moving Water Industries, which had just retained Bush to market the firm’s pumps. Escorted by the U.S. ambassador to Nigeria, Bush met with the nation’s political and religious leaders as part of an MWI effort to land a deal that would be worth $80 million.

“My father is the president of the United States, duly elected by people that have an interest in improving ties everywhere,” he told a group of dignitaries in a private meeting, according to a video documenting the visit. “The fact that you have done this today is something I will report back to him very quickly when I get back to the United States.”

I would guess someone at his level has access to lots of good data, knowledge and associates with inside knowledge. A KO bombshell dropped on Hillary at or before the debates would be quite entertaining.

Nigeria's new President Muhammadu Buhari will visit the White House for talks with US leader Barack Obama on July 20.
A statement put out by the White House National Security Council on Thursday confirmed that President Obama will be hosting his Nigerian counterpart for wide-ranging talks.
Sources say the talks will be centred around economic issues and security particularly the ongoing insurgency by the militant sect Boko Haram. Buhari’s visit to Washington next month will be his fourth abroad after trips to neighbouring Chad and Niger since his inauguration in May and an accepted invitation from Cameroon President Paul Biya for talks in Yaounde about the six-year insurgency.
Following his election in March, the first by an opposition politician in Nigeria since independence, Washington and other Western capitals had pledged support to the new dispensation especially in its fight against Boko Haram.
Buhari had vowed to tackle the insurgency and enlisted the military backing of Nigeria’s neighbours through a multi-national force led by a Nigerian commander. ...

Edward "Ed" Mezvinsky is an ex-Democrat congressman.....and a convicted felon. Ed sat on the House Judiciary Committee that decided the fate of Richard Nixon. He was outspoken saying that Nixon was a crook and a disgrace to politics and the nation and should be impeached.
Edward, a lawyer, was married when he met Chelsea's MIL, Marjorie----they soon got married---but divorced after Edward got conned into several notorious Nigerian-based email financial frauds guaranteed to make you rich.
In his haste to get rich quick, to raise money to get in on these "heaven-sent" investment schemes, Edward defrauded many of his friends and business contacts.....including Marjorie's mother.
Alas, when the Nigerians got their hands on Edwards' money, they did a 23 skidoo. Having failed to come up w/ a ROI, Edward got nabbed by the long arm of the law. Mezvinsky pleaded guilty to 31 of 69 felony counts.. He did hard time----spent 7+ years in a federal prison w/ no chance of parole, and still owes $10 million in restitution.
Democrat Congressman 2014 candidate Marjory Margolies is also no stranger to the dollar disease. Because of her husband's felony convictions, she filed for bankruptcy. But the court would NOT discharge her of her debts, finding that she could NOT explain where some $1 million in assets had vanished, in the previous 4 year span...during Mezvitsky's crime spree.
In their heyday, Ed Mezvinsky and then-wife Marjorie, herself a former Democratic congresswoman from Pennsylvania (an ex-TV reporter---and recent election loser), were part of the political and social elite in Philadelphia.
The Mezvinskys were close to Bill and Hillary Clinton and were frequent guests at the White House. Prosecutors say Mezvinsky exploited his ties to the Clintons, including his son's relationship with Chelsea, to woo investors to contribute more money to the Nigerian schemes.
In an interview with Des Moines Register from prison in 2003, Mezvinsky said he found the notoriously fraudulent Nigerian Black Ink scam "convincing."

BACKSTORY The outstanding cable TV anthology show "American Greed" did a segment on Venezuelan fraudster (now jailed) Claudio Osorio. Osorio, a Venezuelan schemer, organized high profile fundraisers, and was in thick w/ Democrats Obama, Hillary and Bill-----and with Jeb Bush.
Osorio donated some $80,000 to Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, according to FEC records. Osorio also donated mega-bucks to the Clinton Global Initiative Foundation.
Osorio's shell company, Innovida, submitted falsified documents and received $3.5 million in loans from the US govt----the US Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) supposedly to build homes in Haiti after the catastrophic earthquake.
In September 2011, OPIC began questioning Innovida's "negative operating cash flow." A court appointed receiver in charge of investigating Innovida's finances indicated that "$37.5 million in funds had been moved offshore, but he had so far been unable to find out what happened to the money."
Osorio used our constitutional privileges--- invoking the fifth amendment right against self-incrimination---when asked if company funds had been used to pay personal expenses.
Osorio was indicted on two counts of wire fraud and one count of major fraud, amongst other charges. Federal prosecutors said Osorio defrauded investors from 2007-10, exaggerating the company's finances and pocketing millions of dollars to fund a lavish lifestyle. The SEC claimed that Osorio had illegally used investor money to pay for a Miami Beach mansion, a Maserati car and a Colorado mountain retreat home.
American Greed has Jeb on-tape sizing-up Osorio's pre-fab housing project for Haitian refugees (which turned out to be a scam).
Jeb Bush agreed to return $270,000 that he was paid as a consultant to convicted fraudster Claudio Osorio and Osorio’s bogus companies.
