“...put a claim in during early January and I’m still waiting for a response 6 months later.”

That’s the reason this vet decided to say screw ‘em all, and am going to private enterprise for my surgery. I need to have my VA eye job of thirteen years ago done over due something not the VA’s fault, but I’m not interested in wasting time with them under today’s management. I’ll pay the cash, and get the job done now instead of effing around with the VA forever to get it at reduced cost.

The only reason I went to the VA is money. I have tinnitus and a (barely noticeable) loss of hearing brought on by 3 years in artillery.
The devices and hearing aids that help reduce the tinnitus cost up to $6000. I can afford to pay, but if the VA will provide them almost free - why not?
