My VA disability was approved in 34 working days.

It was approved in the last year.

Also, I find the General Practice care very good and timely.

Access to the specialty clinics runs about two months...OUCH.

That said, if a vet is not Priority 1 Or Priority 2, they would do better to use other insurance if they have it.

Priority 3 and below have to wait two months to fart. Even in the emergency room.

The VA takes Priority Levels seriously, as they should.

My experience is completely different, and the Long Beach VA Hospital is the absolute worst (tried to kill me. I left the hospital against medical advice and flew to Texas for 9-days of in-patient quality care from a private hospital).. The Long Beach VA Hospital is run by some diversity hire hack with zero administration skills, a complete buffoon.

I was dumped into Priority Group 8c, but still got appointments (physical, hearing test) in less than 3 weeks.
I'm actually Priority Group 6 ('Nam vet) but the local VA said they had no DD214 on file for me ... even though I sent them one weeks before my first appointment.
While at the VA for my physical, I raised a little hell and lo and behold they found the missing 214. Morons.
