Holy cow. You clearly have never been to Annapolis. They are fully patriotic. I have many neighbors not affiliated with the military and LOVE the Naval Academy.
Every state can find patriotic areas. As a whole I am sure Chris Matthews and Martin O’Malley are FAR more representative of the state than the relatively few folks in the hills. As an aside, from what I’ve heard about Annapolis, I’m not sure it is such a welcoming place for conservatives. They’re increasingly “Mike Mullen” navy types...and the rainbow flag flies high.
