It is true, there are moderate gays. As a lifelong conservative I can even state that there are a number of gays among our ranks. There are even gays who are or were leaders of the conservative movement at one point, including the late Terry Dolan, the head of NCPAC, credited with bumping off nearly a dozen or so liberal senators in 1980. He died from AIDS. But those are few and far between. The homosexual lifestyle does not easily reconcile with traditional conservatism. I guess that’s why he have Libertarians. They fill that gap.
