Proper bail does not depend on many factors.
It depends strictly on likelihood of flight.
people with jobs and families and no criminal record are unlikely to flee their responsibilities just because there is an incident in a parking lot.

A million dollars was way off of the deep end.

Typical assertion for someone with your dogged stupidity tbough.

I'm the one who said "many factors," working off the Texas statute. I do agree that the primary purpose is to "insure" appearance, your risk of flight.

The judge who lowered bail agrees, "A million dollars was way off of the deep end" for most defendants.

As the law works to correct its past mistakes, the state-worshipers will boast that the law is working just like it's supposed to, and pretend that the errors never existed. I've seen this play before.
