Kentucky Senator and Republican presidential candidate Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) called for a revolution of folks saying, We want you to obey the law' on immigration on Wednesdays Laura Ingraham Show.

Isn’t that counter to the libertarian philosophy?
Or perhaps he has seen the light and is realizing that being Trump’s VP pick is better than NOTHING....
I read around the internet. I talk to many people at the local doughnut shop, which is quite like the old times general store where people meet to discuss what’s important to them, and share opinions. People are outraged at what is going on with these illegals in this country, and want something done about it.
There is a revolution of the people, but the people are still in disbelief their representation isn’t.
Regardless, they are here illegally and won’t be stopped by securing the border.
And here he was backing amnesty:
Libertarians were always against ANY immigration laws.
“Not Rand. He is an open border advocate. He believes in the free flow of labor across borders.”
Yes. Libertarians have always had the no border policy for decades.
To the extent those associated today say things different than that, it is pandering.
Well Rand “better late than never” conservatives have been saying that for years... in your case Rand you would be wise to adjust too “Better Never Late”!
how about enforcement of all of our laws by those in the Senate and Congress?
Why do we need a revolution? We only need ONE president to obey and enforce the friggin’ law. Will Rand??
That could well be another reason.
It depends on just who the "we" is....Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Sheriff Paul Babeu for starters have been trying for years to stop the flow of illegals and the Feds have for years thwarted their efforts because of the Obama doctrine.
Solution: Elect people who mean what they say and have a track record to prove it...talk is cheap....
No borders, vending machine narcotics, fags, abortion, anything that has to do with “do your own thing.” Nah, no credibility problem with those people.
We don’t need to deport aliens squatting here illegally, at least not right away. Secure the border first.
And deporting illegals isn’t a prerequisite to doing that, as much as Uniparty would have you think that border security and reform are necessarily linked.
The problem with their scenario is that they get their “comprehensive immigration reform” (amnesty) and then, securing the border, well—guess what?
Border security will then be like Trey Gowdy pursuing Hillary Clinton for her crimes after the election: all interest in such ruses by the Grand Old Party and their Democrat allies will have evaporated.
Our uninvited foreign guests have been living in the shadows for 30 years now. They weren’t kidnapped and dragged across the border. They snuck across knowing they were breaking our laws and are now demanding amnesty.
Again.
We aren’t East Berlin, keeping them walled-in. They can leave any time. But they don’t want to leave and will not leave unless deported. If they won’t leave on their own, we’ll get around to them after making sure our border is fortified and guarded, just as Eisenhower deported in `Operation Wetback’.
(Cue the resident Americants: “Oh, but we just can’t do it” gnashing teeth)
But first things first, we must close the gate. Real border security is the sine qua non: `without which, nothing else’. Once this is done—once we show we are serious about reclaiming our country from anarchy, all else naturally follows.
Securing the border is not enough. 40% of the lawbreakers came here legally and overstayed their visas. We need to track and deport visa overstays.
