Oh, and the thing that scewed up Florida was that the state has split time zones. The state was called for Bush based on projections right after the Eastern portion polls had closed but while the Central portion polls were still open.

The FL Panhandle is Conservative and solidly GOP. An estimated 10,000 voters, most of whom would have voted for Bush, didn’t hit the polls because they thought the election was over. IIRC the network that jumped the gun was FOX with the others following it’s lead.

I think it is only fair that if Cruz would visit hardball, Hillary will visit Hannity.

But argumentative defeat like this is like water off an entitlement duck's back, frankly.

Granted, Sen. Cruz is not going to change Chris Matthews' fevered mind.

But Matthews isn't the target for the argument. His audience is -- at least, those in the audience with open minds.

And there will be a few -- even in Matthews' mentally disturbed audience.

The moron doesn’t remember it was the Florida Supreme Court who guided the re-count, with all star lawyers from both sides arguing in front of them to do so.

After 4 counts, when Bush’s numbers were increasing, the dems finally got it.

Remember this like it was yesterday. Leftist election tactics right from Stalin “it’s more important who does the counting than the votes”.

He made a great point- they re-counted that bush-v-gore election 4 times and bush won 4 times

And Cruz made it clear that matthews just wanted them to keep counting until Gore won, then stop.

Bingo. Quite right.

Dems have figured the Spanish contractor approach to “after the fact” vote counting. That and the traditional ballot stuffing “resources” in the hotbed areas, ready to be counted.

They lie all the time.

If that moron in Palm Beach hadn’t pre-punched Buchanan on those ballots instead of Gore, Gore might have won it.

I know some folks who sincerely believe that Bush stole the 2004 election, as well.

True that....but it’s not the impact on entitlement ducks that I see as the fruit of this...it’s the video out there, showing the way how to defeat liberals day in and day out. Trump, Cruz and Fiorina are the only three showing any of that as far as I can tell now.

“keep counting and counting and counting and counting, and eventually maybe enough people will cheat and somehow our guy will win.”

Boom, head shot!

Ted Cruz has the boldness and courage of Trump in fighting the Left and his own party.

Cruz is on a different intellectual universe than the Donald...Trump is, however, far superior to Cruz in self aggrandizement and bombast...

Its what is causing the ‘thrill down his leg’.

I’ve always wondered how any self respecting man can say, with a straight face, that another gives him ‘a tingle down his leg’...

these days, though, why wonder...?

“He made a great point- they re-counted that bush-v-gore election 4 times and bush won 4 times

not to mention the other factoid that seems to have gone straight down the memory hole as quickly as it came out. All the newspapers couldn’t wait to get their hands on those ballots to do the mother of all recounts of recounts. They tested every single conceivable method of tabulating the votes, and in all of them Bush still won. It was probably the quietest announcement ever, and promptly forgotten
