Now deniers of global warming have been dealt a stinging blow by psychologists who found skeptics of man-made climate change tend to believe in conspiracy theories.
They say the conspiracist outlook taken by many climate change skeptics is harming the public debate over global warming.
Professor Stephan Lewandowsky, an experimental psychologist at the University of Bristol who led the work, said: 'These results add to a growing body of research on the nature of internet discourse and the role of the blogosphere in climate denial.
They also warn that some extreme climate change deniers have also resorted to 'harassing' scientists and the editors of journals.
They say the conspiracy theories put forward by many blogs written by skeptics is failing to encourage reasonable debate about climate science among the public.
They write: 'There are indications that seeking the retraction of inconvenient papers has become a routine practice among individuals who are denying (climate) science.

He is describing the adherents to global warming religion, not the deniers. The adherents close down debate and attack publishing of contrary papers.

The reason conservatives 'denials' have traction is because NONE of the projections of warmists have come true. NOT ONE. Their models don't work. Their excuses are endless. They bully and vote on science. That's not how it's done.
ABC did a special some years back - Cuomo was a moderator on the show... he talked about how in 2015 New York City would be under water. That's the kind of crap that sinks warmists... it's not us. It's that none of their theories hold water. None of them have proven true. NOT ONE.
In order for me to be a climate change accepter I need to see a constant change in temperature. This is not happening so there must be some conspiracy to push it other than facts. So in my case the dude is right, but I’m still waiting for the public debate. Calling people names is the left’s idea of public debate.

There are those whose many unanswered questions about the so-called "settled science" who are puzzled. The writer of the article appears to be a propagandist because he starts out with blanket name calling. There is no settled science. There will be no settled science by the faltering "warmists" because they have yet to present a valid scientific argument in favor of AGW. It is not happening.
Billions of dollars have been poured into the false religion that global warming is upon us and we must pay for carbon credits to make us feel better, and to make the sponsors of the propagandists rich.
Climate change has been taking place since the beginning of time. The primary factor in climate change is the Sun.
