Donald Trump: 'Silent Majority' is Back to Make America Great Again

Billionaire business developer and Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump says his comments about immigration have become a movement and has pointed to violence perpetrated by immigrants in the U.S. illegally to defend his stance. Trump spoke Saturday to an estimated 15,000 people in Phoenix and another huge crowd at the Libertarian FreedomFest inside a Planet Hollywood ballroom on the Las Vegas Strip.

Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump criticized U.S. immigration and trade policies on Saturday in speeches that veered from accusing Mexico of deliberately sending criminals across the border to professing respect for the Mexican government and love for its people.

Speaking to a gathering of Libertarians in Las Vegas before headlining an event in Phoenix, Trump repeated his charge that Mexico was sending violent offenders to the U.S. to harm Americans and that U.S. officials were being "dumb" in dealing with immigrants in the country illegally.

"These people wreak havoc on our population," he told a few thousand people attending the Libertarian gathering FreedomFest inside a Planet Hollywood ballroom on the Las Vegas Strip.

In the 4,200-capacity Phoenix convention center packed with flag-waving supporters, Trump took a different view — for a moment — and said: "I love the Mexican people. I love 'em. Many, many people from Mexico are legal. They came in the old-fashioned way. Legally." An estimated 15,000 people tried to get into the event, according to a Trump spokesman.

He quickly returned to the sharp tone that has brought him scorn as well as praise. "I respect Mexico greatly as a country. But the problem we have is their leaders are much sharper than ours, and they're killing us at the border and they're killing us on trade."

Obama and Clinton haven’t finished searching the IRS for dirt on Trump yet and if they have ,they’re saving it for the right time

Keep pounding on the illegals, Donald!

Oh, and if you have time, attack the US-Iran nuclear deal, too. That deal needs to be blowed up real good.

I wonder if Cruz would better serve as Attorney General while waiting for a slot on the SC to open up.

We live in a post-Constitutional America now. The will of the people mean nothing.

Excellent idea.

We need him to continue the fight in a position for which he is eligible.

Oh good. not just a clown but a delusional one.

There may be a well motivated minority but it is a minority. And once Trump is done painting all Conservatives with the brush of lunacy, even that motivated minority won’t be enough.

Well said.

I’ve often wondered about the silent majority. Many of us get up early and go to work, earn our pay, take care of our families, are involved with community activities, in our churches, spend quality time with our children, teach them right from wrong, etc.

As we do all of these things, we are not at protest rallies or getting on TV pushing the latest liberal cause of the day. We’re not marching in the streets protesting about global warming or other liberal issues.

The people in the streets and on cable TV shout shows are not middle America. They are not representative of middle American opinion or middle American social/political thought.

re: dirt on Trump

Does Trump seem like the kind of person who won't own up to his past imperfections? In this pc-world we live in, I suspect people would rather enjoy being allowed to be human again.

One guy at the AZ speech held a home made sign.
The sign contained two words.

“TRUMP CARD”

Loved the sign

Trump-Cruz makes a lot of sense. Cruz, a great debater, would lend coherence to the Donald’s arguments. Their age difference would make a 16-year “dynasty” feasible if they are elected and rescue the country in its present dire straits. And I do think Trump is more conservative than not. His contributions to Demonrats had more to do with the cost of doing business in and out of New York than Trump’s liberalism. And I allow someone the right to change their views.

Yes. I recall in 2011 when he blamed China for the fact that his signature line of suits, Trump ties, Trump cufflinks and even Trump teddy bears come with a “Made in China” label. Either China or Mexico.

“The answer is very simple: Because of the fact that China so manipulates their currency it makes it almost impossible for American companies to compete,”

Now he is probably blaming Macys for forcing the outsourcing or Univision for profiting from unfair trade practices, etc.

Trump/Cruz makes a lot of sense.

Do you realize who else hasn't been shooting arrows at Trump? Rand Paul. Think about it. Assuming Sanders doesn't get the dem nomination, a lot of the dissatisfied would cast a vote for Trump/RandPaul.

This is white the racist President of Mexico who steals everything not nailed down for himself and his ruling class buddies and sends his non-white poor north to feed like parasites off American Taxpayers.

He's a degenerate crook, a monster, and an enemy of the US Citizenry.

He and his cronies are engaged in a proxy war against the USA.

Time to invade Mexico City again, time for a regime change.
