The Boy Scouts of America is one step closer to lifting the ban on gay leadership in the organization.
On Friday, the Boy Scouts of America Executive Committee adopted a resolution to amend the group's adult leadership standards policy, which was unanimously adopted.
The BSA policy change will allow scoutmasters and other adult leaders to serve regardless of their sexual orientation.
According to the Boy Scouts, the resolution "will allow chartered organizations to select adult leaders without regard to sexual orientation, continuing Scouting’s longstanding policy of chartered organizations selecting their leaders."
The Boy Scouts said that the change will leave the ability for religious organizations "to choose adult leaders whose beliefs are consistent with their own."

Everyone knew they were lying when they said they weren’t going to push for this.
The whole point of “gay rights” is to get unobstructed access to your children and grandchildren.

I have stopped giving money tot he girl scouts, my daughter and her friends left their troop or what ever it is called a couple of years ago and I now have stopped giving to the boy scouts and my boys have no desire to join another org which will be infested with homosexuals who like to be with boys.
That didn’t take long...apparently the pro-homo lobby in corporate America hold considerably more sway ($$) than values or morals do.
Not “everyone”...there are a couple on FR who toe the BSA line all the way...any who dissent are guilty of posting “drivel”.

Why not just rename them the Rainbow Scouts and change the flag, too?
Exactly. The BSA just needed to do things in steps, that's all. The goal was always there and nothing-- no opinion, no discussion -- nothing, was going to stop them from allowing homosexuals to be with young boys on weekend camping trips. It was all a ruse to make it at least appear as though they were weighing their course of action. They were not weighing anything. The outcome was set from the beginning.
The BSA needs to quickly die on the vine.

This eagle scout feels vindicated for abandoning the BSA back when they decided to admit homosexuals the first time.

it is now up to the chartered organization to make the decision.
in so doing the legal liability is shifted to the chartered organization
This is essentially the policy currently in effect whereby all adults must be acceptable to the chartering organization. All adults have a background check
the result will be queer organizations chartering troops for queers
the youth protection standards and certifications are still in effect and a violator is still subject to dismissal and civil and or criminal charges
