This has been going on since the USA joined the U.N. in 1945 with little success. A quick Google search indicates very little current news concerning this legislation, which was referred to committee 3/2/15.

Can you see any POTUS in the future kicking the U.N. out of America? As much as I would LOVE to see this happen, it is a dream....
