Human nature is unchanging, predictable -- and can be dangerous if ignored.
Five-time deportee and seven-time felon Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, an unauthorized immigrant, recently was arrested in San Francisco for the murder of an innocent passerby, Kate Steinle.
The alleged killer told a local TV station that he came to San Francisco because it was a sanctuary city. San Francisco has long boasted that it would not turn over unauthorized immigrants to federal immigration authorities.
Can it be that announcing such exemptions actually draws in foreign citizens who have arrived in the U.S. illegally and committed crimes?
What is true compassion -- deporting a repeat felon like Lopez-Sanchez back to his home country, or turning him loose on potential victims such as Kate Steinle?
Baltimore just fired its police commissioner, Anthony Batts, for his supposed inability to stop an epidemic of violent crime.

The history of Marxism around the world is littered with failed attempts to change human nature.
New Socialist Man
New Soviet Man
New Sandinista Man
etc. etc. etc. etc.
Blood on his hands. Fake "Sheriff" Ross Mirkarimi of S.F. is the face of these ignorant liberals.
And unfortunately, Kate Steinle is the face of the victims of this liberal lunacy, and she cries out for justice.
Kate Steinle ... RIP
Ditto Rest in Peace Kate Steinle
Progressives don't want to change human nature. They like it just the way it is. They mean to use the vagaries of human nature to control the populace. Do you see any real attempts at changing human nature from a progressive? I don't. They may claim that's what they're doing but in reality they thrive on the tension between disparate ways of thinking and beliefs. It's how they gain control.
The concept of "diversity" is meant to create tension not salve it.
Notice VDH actually said “Enlightened (i.e., liberal) new theories and policies promised to change behavior.....”
And at the end, ‘And elites never seem to pay firsthand for the consequences of their own naive — and selfish — theories about human nature.’
Elites mean you have both money AND power; they don’t pay any consequences, consequences are for the little guys. Then we have gazillions of elitists aspired to be elites who think they DESERVE to be treated like elites by everybody else.
There may be some true elites who are humble, but wielding any kind of power usually corrupts a person.
