Actually, it wasn't. The white population of the colonies at the time of the revolutionary war was 80^% English, and the rest other British and other European. And the founding fathers were almost all of English heritage. And the balance were almost all from other European nations.
Why must every election be about where our ancestors came from...it is divisive...why must every election be about religion...in America we are free to worship how we choose.....why must in every election, sex is a prime discussion when in America you are free to have sex when ever, where ever with whom ever; sex isn't a part of the Constitution.....some of the following issues are important.... "thou shalt not kill" abortion? pretty straight forward....obeying our laws/corrupt politicians and government....and we should be rectifying our extremely wastful top-heavy Federal Government whose Unions work against Americans not for them....JFK made a huge blunder there....this nation's elected should be trying to remedy (our debt) the rest is window dressing to keep you from paying attention to how close you/we are to Third World villages, town, cities etc.
