Why was McCain paraded down the street and made a national American hero with great fanfare when the other prisoners were simply released at the end of the war with no parades or great exhibits of great fanfare?

The comments were taken a bit out of context, there is a tit-for-tat to the comments anyway, plus, the only ones really pushing this are the losing Republicans who desperately need Trump out since they have been completely sidelined. Better that they all, instead, quit. Besides, Trump has the integrity to stand by his comments, to clarify when needed, and this is another test to prove he doesn’t cower from the media or anyone. What doesn’t kill him makes him stronger. Finally, isn’t it refreshing to have a candidate simply speak his mind instead of parse everyone word? Even if sometimes they might not be PC. Yes, refreshing.

I can’t stand McCain or Kerry, but I will give them this, they went when their country called. Niether of them weaseled deferment after deferment like Trump. Trump didn’t have the balls to go.
