While some politicians still refuse to accept the science, a new report says climate change already is influencing national and international security and warns that world leaders need to prepare for the worst.

What utter nonsense from "a new report." Such propaganda reports will continue because there is no science, just a pagan religious belief.

Some politicians do not accept the 'science" simply because there is no legitimate, proven "science" to accept!

I think that studies like this are worthwhile, in the sense of trying to prepare for all possible threats. Not that we need to start implementing them, or spend a ton of money on them, but just in the general war-gaming sense of things.

Water wars might be a huge thing in the not-so-distant future. Oil of course. And I hope they thought about how global cooling will change the political-economic dynamics. That is much more likely IMHO, and with much greater bad effects on the world. Although I’m probably too naive and they didn’t even consider that possibility.

I remember when Palin was dissed by some conservatives when she commissioned a study in Alaska regarding climate change. BUT - it did look at both the effects of warming and cooling, and to determine what was at risk for either.
