Well yes - which leads us to an obvious split the difference here:

A: Yeah, LOVE what Trump is doing now....but

B: NO, don’t trust him all the way.

There’s no contradiction there.

The intertwined interests are little understood by most, but make sense if you follow James Carville’s guidance, “Follow the money”. (I know; Carville was certainly not the first, not even by millennia, but he’s who I remember best for clever comments by a professional persuader.)

Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, Harper Colins, and several other publishing houses are owned by News Corp whose largest public investor was, until recently, Kingdom Holdings represented by Prince Alwaleed bin-Talal. The ownership tale is obscured by the complexities of international investment. For a while Roger Ailes replaced Alwaleed’s Kingdom Holdings as New Corp owner. One report hat Twentieth Century Fox owning News Corp.

I simplify it by noting that Murdoch’s interest are driven by even larger interests than News Corp. His family needs the Saudi Family’s good will to enable him to promote his several ventures into competitors’ of Al Jazeera, which is, I believe, the world’s largest cable network. Those are our petro-dollars at work. After the WSJ was sold bin-Talal proudly boasted of his control over WSJ editorial policy, one of the early conditions violated by Murdoch/bin-Talal of the sale of the WSJ.

This is business directed by the U.S. educated Prince controlling 95$ of profits from selling oil to the U.S. which provides military cover for Saudi royalty. The business cuts across presumed political party differences. Murdoch also owns the NY Post, Christian book publishers in South America, Harper Collins,... Read, with care because of the control by the left of its entries, Wikipedia on Murdoch and/or News Corp.

Karl Rove is large recipient of Saudi largess, and funds Grover Norqist’s activities, including the Islamic Free Market Institute, whose co-founder is in prison for financing terrorism. Grover’s wife and brother-in-law are former, probably “former” as Hillary’s Chief Of Staff Huma Abedin is fomer, Muslim Brotherhood employees, and certainly, advocates.

Is it mostly about money? If you worked for Fox News, or the WSJ, or dozens of other companies whose executives were loath to arouse those who control the money spigot, would you dare report the truth? Fox is not the only media source controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood. It harder to find media corporations who aren’t aware of the risks in crossing Suadi investment..

The Obama administration’s apparent switch from support of Sunni interests to Shia interests shows the importance of free speech, which we are losing more of every day. Iran, whose nuclear fuel development and long range missile research we now pay for and promise to help defend from attacks by Israel, openly declares its intention to defeat the Great Satan, the U.S. and the little Satan, Israel. Iran wants, and claims it has rights to the oil of Saudi Arabia. Iraq was a few weeks from taking over Saudi Arabia when we decided that was not a good idea, and sent troops to recover Kuwait, and then to weaken Saddam.

During the Iran/Iraq wars we stayed in the background. Now we have chosen sides so it will be interesting to see what Fox is allowed to report. The issue is who dares to report the truth. I suspect the truth will now only be available from small outlets which may struggle for access as the power brokers attempt to censor the Internet.

When you throw in the clear interest by the Russians and Chinese in supporting “the strong horse”, one should ask the question so eloquently explored by Diana West in American Betrayal, who really won the Cold War?

I wish he’d go after Cruz. Then Cruz could verbally eviscerate him and claim the top spot. Better yet, maybe later after Trump’s softened up the enemy.

An attack on entitlements, and especially entitlement reform, would resonate well. That’s OUR tax money going down that rabbit hole and you just KNOW there is massive cheating going on!
