I happen to believe that a socon who meets your criteria is also not able to win a nomination contest, but, as I have often said, the country would be better off if governed by socons, so, go for it.

I will.

So, instead of sitting on the sidelines during the primaries where a Social Conservative candidate is concerned, what is lost if you fight for the morally correct candidate, instead of putting your politics above your morality?

If your fear is proven correct, then the so-called "electable" moderate will be nominated and nothing is lost.

However, if you fight for the morally correct candidate and he/she is nominated, wouldn't that be much better?

BTW, Reagan was considered unelectable by everyone's standards, both GOP and Democrat, and he was a very vocal social conservative.

I think Trump and Cruz on the ticket could be a knockout punch to the left for a generation. Look at the whole speech and get him some credit.

More than coward. Today I was talking to a black lady and she was up in arms over Trump
saying she was moving to Canada if Trump won the election. Now here's a Black lady
who is a frothing Democrat voter who's failing to realize who is doing this to
our country. She has no clue that her vote is what brought us to this morass of
despicable sewer flowing in our streets today.

She even said at one point that she was seriously thinking about not voting Democrat
so at least during her tirade she understands a little about the politics going on today.
But in the same breath hates Repubs and Conservatives with a passion. Her blank stare at me
when I told her I was a conservative was amusing.

I'm not sure how I'll break some truth to her later on, but I will calmly and politely.

Do you really think RINOs do exactly what their constituents want?

I wish it were so, but they obviously do what they want, irregardless of their campaign promises. example- they ran in 2014 to stop executive amnesty. Then couldn’t wait to fund it just months later.

This condescension to the voters is why what Trump is saying is so popular.
