I am only vaguely familiar with this incident. What did McCain do after he got away from his A-4?
I don’t know. All I know is he dropped clear for the fire(s) from the A-4E refueling rod.
This was covered on another thread; Forrestal went to GQ and McCain probably went to where he was supposed to go: his squadron’s ready room.
