It is one reason we need term limits. People don’t want to give up the power their seasoned Senators and Representatives get for being in Washington an eternity.
The old vote them out is term limits doesn’t work in most cases. Incumbency is powerful by design.
The problem is, good people go to Washington, serve and leave.
Guys like this SOB go there and you can’t pry them out with a crow-bar.
I tend to agree with term limits.
