central California was already flooded... for 6 million years. Either it all evaporated or it froze...

The coastline used to extend back to about Riverside in So Cal about the same period.
My children and I used to find fossilized shellfish and corals in southwestern Ohio. There isn't a square inch of Earth that hasn't been ground down by glaciers, flooded, covered with lava, or in some other way changed drastically. when someone says they want to preserve the environment, I have to ask, which one?
