So the east coast has plenty of jobs, affordable homes, farms, medical care etc., for millions more imports?

I'm the kind of Guy who sees things half full rather than half empty. We are fortunate we have immigration, since the '70s, our birth rate has declined. We need cheap labor to man the jobs such as cleaning porta johns, nursing homes, flipping burgers, etc. I grew up in an affluent area in Montgomery County, Maryland and the white kids I grew up with wont be seen doing manual labor work even if it's just a part time gig during the summer.

You are confused.

Lemme ask ya, if you offered those teens 100x what they are paying for their cheap imported labor you’d fill those positions flipping burgers over night.

It’s no surprise many of these imports work hard when they cross the border and instantly receive huge pay raises 100 times more money than they were making in their back home countries.

Funny how greed works.

Bet a lot of you folks have illegal maids and servants. They love those instant 200% raise increases. They work a smile for 9 bucks an hour.

White kids where I grew up are willing to work. I don’t believe that there are jobs Americans won’t do. The dirty jobs here are done by non-immigrants. The Mexicans and Somalians work in food processing, not the hard manual labor.

Heck, my college educated professional husband was digging 4x4x3 foot holes, by hand in the heat of summer-one was right under the cabin that was lifted so he started while squatting low to the ground. We need the money so he works an extra part time job for a contractor.

Small world, I grew up in Potomac before we moved down to Atlanta. Had my first summer job at 14 maintaining boilers at a dry cleaner, no AC, covered in dust and sweat. Rode my bike to it.

I can promise you my friends were at least as affluent as yours, and we all had jobs. Of course, all the rich parents i knew (including my own) got that way through hard work.

Supply/demand, my friend. Less cheap labor, higher wages, work suddenly appeals to Americans.

Supply/demand again. More people, higher housing costs, people postpone marriage and wives put in more time at work, less time having babies.

Whites seem to react to diversity stress by retreating to the suburbs or private school and having fewer babies.

So just maybe, immigration contributes to Americans declining birth rates, rather than being our salvation.

Virtually no other country allows legal immigration during times of employment crisis’s unless it’s provable that you won’t be occupying jobs that citizens can occupy or you are self sufficient. As a matter of fact immigrants to this country are supposed to be self sufficient or return to their home countries unless naturalized.

I take exception to the notion that we need to import labor to do the jobs US citizens won’t do. I do and have done every job you listed. Working builds character and self esteem, traits sorely lacking in the US today. If we were to stop paying ner-do-wells to sit on their asses watch how fast those jobs are filled. There are very few illegals in my area yet all those jobs you mentioned are filled. You sound like an out of touch elitist snob to me.

And did you do any of those manual labor jobs?
