Microsoft collects and uses various types of data, such as your device location, data from your calendar, the apps you use, data from your emails and text messages, who you call, your contacts and how often you interact with them on your device.

I opted out of all that even before I read anything about it. Yes, Win 10 upgrade gave me the choices - individually - to opt in or out.

I presume Apple would need to collect similar data for it's Siri app to be able to perform the functions it does, and the same goes for Google for their "ok Google" and map functions.
Increased usability in locating businesses, services, contacts, and so on, especially in a mobile environment, requires more widespread use of various data.

So go ahead and dump Apple and Google Android while you're at it.
