Ohio Gov. John Kasich officially announced his presidential run Tuesday, telling a crowd at Ohio State University that "the sun is rising" in America again.
"I am here to ask you for your prayers, for your support, for your efforts because I have decided to run for president of the United States," he said.
In a speech that described the woes of Americans worried about lost jobs, health care costs and crushing student debt and that made a point to reference the specific worries of minorities Kasich also tried to strike an optimistic note.

The former congressman is considered a relatively moderate Republican with an impressive resume and executive experience, and his home state of Ohio is a perennial key to his party's success in a presidential general election.
He has also angered conservatives with his 2013 decision to expand Medicaid within his state as a part of Obamacare, and with his openness to a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.

In a word, no.
He’s another guy in the R prez race peloton.
My gut says the guys with the dough will persist:
Trump, Cruz, Bush
If Hillary remains basically unopposed in the D primaries, Bush will benefit greatly as Dem operatives orchestrate a large Op Chaos to help him to the R nomination - he’s the guy they know they can beat.
he only reason Kasich made it to governor is the fact that no one else wanted the job.
None of The Cheap Labor Express candidates have a chance.
Americans do not want to surrender the rule of law or their country.

Well, the last guy had an undocumented path to inauguration so never sell anyone short after that fiasco which we are living with.
“Path” my ***! It’s a superspeedway.
Could this all be part of some GOPe trick to control the nomination? By running semi-popular candidates in certain states, can those candidates help pull delegates only to hand them over to Jebbie Bush at a later date?
The most obvious explanation is they have sycophants telling them they should run, but with so many joining from some of the battleground states, I have to wonder.
The field is already flooded with presidential wannabes that just want to be noticed.
This doesn’t get talked about much, but presidential candidates get to pay themselves from donations about a half a million dollars.
A big reason why Al Sharpton ran for pres. was to get that easy money from his gullible supporters. Old Al still owes about $900,000 from his 2004 presidential run. Gee, I wonder if he will pay it back? LoL.
We’ve been seeing ads for weeks in NH. His dad was a mailman who cared, Yada, Yada, Yada.
