Is there a bigger insult to American voters than the oft-floated suggestion that Mr. Trump is just a distraction and that the election will be decided by Wall Street's huge donations to the super PACs of favored "institutional" candidates in exchange for favors to be determined post-victory?

Yes. The suggestion that Trump is some sort of conservative.

There are slumdog conservatives who have been sitting on a sweltering heap of bad candidate options for so long. One day some guy shows up merely bearing a refreshing cold beverage and, given the circumstances, it looks awesome.
