I’d be willing to bet that the incident of Confederate flags around King’s church in Atlanta was actually done by the person who found the flags. Notice that that story has dropped out of sight. The media will not report that it was a hoax, but since they aren’t harping about it still is a good indication that it was a hoax.
>>The school had nothing to do with her actions or accusations yet the police are demanding they apologize. <<
Reap the whirlwind — I agree the cops should do a scorched earth response. There must be SERIOUS consequences for faking a race-based complaint.
I think extending to her employer is eminently logical and reasonable. I hope she gets fired.
Tell us how you really feel.
Seriously, while I’m not out for blood, and I can see the arguments on the other side here, I think that the demand for an apology to her employer was within the bounds of reasonableness.
What this lady did was a political act and was intended as a political act. The trajectory that you could expect to have seen, if she was not caught out, PARTICULARLY if it all actually went down the way she said, would be a circus side-show of grievance.
This professor intended to hurt innocent people not only within the scope of the rules they are bound by, but also in the court of public opinion.
She is also trying to intentionally stir up race hatred, albeit perhaps in part to escape paying a ticket, but more likely to grab the grievance spotlight for her fifteen minutes of fame.
Keep in mind that community college teachers are employees of the state. Moreover, she was using her status as a cog in the machinery of the state as a supposed indication of virtue and an entitlement to special consideration. “I teach diversity . . . .”.
It is not enough to just let the administration of justice deal with this. This kind of behavior will only stop when it is PUBLICLY SHAMED. I don’t want to see her ruined, necessarily, but I would like to see her grovel a bit in public.
We as a society are WAY too hesitant to let bullies, particularly of the professional grievance mongering sort, run roughshod for fear that calling out them out will make us look intolerant and uncivil.
You’ll have your chance for vengeance when you can mess with her by process.
The police reaching out to an employer and demanding an apology for things they did not do and then demanding the employer take action against an employee for things that did not happen on the job are creeps. Thugish creeps.
“You are making the mistake of thinking that cops and their unions are with us on the Right”
I don’t think cops are necessarily left or right. They are cops. They are a sort of necessary evil. I cannot remember ever being happy to see one, but I do not rule out the possibility that day may come. The times I really got POd at them are fairly few. In fact the most POd I’ve gotten have been over sort of minor “politeness” incidents where nothing was at stake.
Unlike the time I was with two underage drinkers with an open container myself and an expired license from another state and an accusation of littering, as my passenger had apparently heaved a beer bottle into the woods when we stopped to relieve ourselves.
We got off scot-free on that one, don’t ask me why.
What we need to do is to support the cops when they are right, and rein them in when they are wrong, and try to keep that sense of arrogance that a lot of them have from developing in the first place, rather than trying to cure it after it occurs. We are never going to get to that happy medium, we just have to keep pressure on in both directions.
If the cop was in the wrong...the college would be writing letters to the Police Dept. To the Senators and Congressmen of the State...To the POTUS!!!
If you tried to get me fired from my job...or hurt my family..and you were totally in the wrong. I'd be coming after you Ray76...and your employer too.
Ya got that?
Texas deputy responds to accusation by black legislator of 'rude' and 'nasty' traffic stop
Busy times these are.
It’s beneath them.
I think most of these high profile hoaxes turn out to be fakes
You are wrong.
Individuals are seeking extra-legal penalties and aim to exact those penalties by abusing the authority of their position to intimidate others into retaliating before the accused has even been convicted.
It's gangster crap.
"Ya got that?"
When you can see for yourself...what happened.
Got it?
Reiterating “you’re wrong” is not convincing. In fact it’s a waste of time.
Critical thinking people know this..........
