Won't it be great to see the USA blanketed with Trump campaign gear? To me, the Donald asking for money is like the Pope asking for Communion wafers.

Well, him not needing anyone else’s money didn’t last long, did it? That’s just what we need - another person in the WH who can’t stand by what they’ve said five minutes earlier.. Don’t care about him and the Megyn Kelly fiasco but this - no thanks!

You might have something there. If he gets a large number of individual donations it can show broad support.

The GOP/MSM are not happy Trump KO'd their lapdog.

Is that supposed to mean something to me?
Just a while ago I read a post by a Trump supporter which said the media is keeping the Kelly thing going, but you guys have forgotten all about her.
You could have fooled me.

Have you read the thread? Trump asking for money is pretty much him asking you not to contribute to anyone else. My suggestion was to give $20 by buying a made-in-the USA Trump tee shirt.

[Im ok with it if he limits it to citizen voters only and not special interest groups. A small donation makes someone feel they are vested in the process. DOnt send him anything and he still survives nicely. No big deal either way.]
Exactly. Trump knows that special interests (read chamber of commerce, Repub. National Committee and all the lobbyists) give money in turn for owing them a favor. Therefore what the hell kind of favor could he possibly want from small money donors? Nothing besides their votes.

Yes, give to Free Republic but also give to Trump even if its a symbolic ten spot. He need support—not cash.

Send a billionaire money?
You could send it to Jeb...........
To: Hojczyk
I may send a couple bucks because he has told off a few people in a public way. It’s worth $5 just to see the GOPe squirm.

If he doesn’t need cash, why send him ten dollars?
And why did he say he didn’t need anyone’s money?
Honestly, this saddens me. It makes me think of elderly people being suckered into giving money to televangelists.

>> He wants to show the other establishment that WE THE PEOPLE want him <<
Good point. It will be great PR if Trump can show he got donations from lots of people as opposed to Bush who raised millions with a super PAC before he even officially declared his candidacy. (That said I don't really know much about campaign finance.)

I bet he donates it all to a charity after he wins I hope not.
If I give him money, I want it to be used to take down the GOPe, and elect him President.
Charities can damn well get their money elsewhere.

Since I’m a businessman I have decided to donate substantial amounts to both Donald and Hillary. I want both to attend my upcoming wedding.
