Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump launched an online fundraising campaign Saturday as he continues making headlines over a public feud with Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly.
Trump wrote that he needs rising support from voters as he fights a news blitz against him in a donor blast.
I want to show the liberal media that not since the days of Ronald Reagan has there been such a grassroots movement of people ready to transform our party and our country, Trump said in a message to potential contributors.
I have no doubt that the liberal media and the GOP establishment will continue attacking me, he said.
But, make no mistake, I will never back down or apologize in the figGOPs 2016 nomination.
Stand with me and send a powerful message to the establishment by supporting my campaign.
Trump also made an unusual pledge to potential donors in his fundraising plea.
The outspoken billionaire vowed he would match any and all contributions to his political campaign in-kind.
I so strongly believe in what I am doing that I am willing to match every dollar you contribute to my campaign, Trump told possible contributors.
Jeb Bush just raised over $100 million from Washington insiders, he said of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, his closest competition for the GOPs nomination next election year.
His donors arent donating to me because they cant own me, Trump added. Show America you want to join me in taking back Washington.
The New York business mogul also reiterated promises he is focus on rejuvenating Americas prosperity should he take the Oval Office next year.
My No. 1 goal is to create the greatest economic boom in American history, to unleash the incredible spirit of free enterprise in this country to get America moving again, Trump said.

Send a billionaire money?
I’d rather make donations to FreeRepublic, thank you.
I’ll gladly contribute if he gives me a tour of his NYC apartment! I’ve been dying to see that for years.
The Donald wants our money...this should be an interesting thread.
That is just so.... messed up.
a set of tires for his plane is more than I make in a year. Just saying...
I thought one of his selling points was that Donald is a billionaire who ‘doesn’t need’ anyone elses money.
What would be the purpose of this money, advertising?
This is almost like ex-Nanny Mayor Bloomberg, asking me for a free dinner and (small) coke. Buy it yourself, Mr. Rich Man!!
Trump has had one since the beginning of his campaign if one wanted to donate. He chose not to publicize it.
I sent Rudio Money Im going to send Trump some money..it is so he can say this many people support me ..
I’m ok with it if he limits it to citizen voters only and not special interest groups. A small donation makes someone feel they are vested in the process. DOnt send him anything and he still survives nicely. No big deal either way.
He said he didn’t have to raise money, he was not beholden to anyone. He made it clear that when he gave candidates money he got something back for it.
this is about harvesting supporter contacts.
donate 2 dollars just to show support. imagine the freakout of the establishment.
I did donate to him, several days ago, before this came out. I think (jmo) that this is a way to show TPTB how much support he has from voters, not a matter of dollars.
I’m sure any money donated will be put to good use but the important thing is the number of donors, not amount, again jmo.
Not small money, though, from average people. How can you be beholden to that ?
Call me a contrarian, but this tells me he’s getting more and more serious about sticking around.
Plus, there is something to be said for the psychology of accepting small donations... he has a growing base of support... if his supporters become invested they are more likely to remain loyal.
The fact that Trump is a billionaire doesn't mean that he should be shamed for raising campaign funds, just like every other candidate running for public office.
There's a tendency once people give to a candidate to stick with that candidate. So, if Donald's asking for money, too, it might stop people from contributing to someone else.
The best way to contribute....buy some campaign gear from his store. FWIW, I ordered a made in the USA 100% cotton tee shirt for $20. Some of the clothes have polyester, some are all-natural. All are made in the USA. Won't it be great to see the USA blanketed with Trump campaign gear?
