No, Donald Trump isn’t going away. He’s having way too much fun.

I think this analysis by Christine Matthews, a Republican pollster, who did survey work for former Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, hits the nail on the head:

Some think Trump’s latest attack on highly regarded Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly spells the end. Most likely it does not. Trump’s supporters don’t want his run to end. His loud, angry voice amplifies feelings they have, but don’t feel are heard. That is NOT to say they are in complete agreement with what he says. He is the middle finger. He is the fist on the table. And that is what his supporters want to express to politicians right now. If he’s not there, it’s back to politics as usual which they hate. Of course he isn’t a statesman. He’s not presidential material. However, his supporters and many others have long since stopped viewing politicians as statesmen.....

These voters aren’t going away and they’re not looking for the things other voters are looking for – a plan to govern. They are looking for disruption and that’s what Trump delivers. So, regardless of what Trump says or does, these voters are going to continue to say “bring it.”

False choice.

There are people to choose from that are greater than both of them, like Cruz, Carson and Fiorina.

“These voters aren’t going away and they’re not looking for the things other voters are looking for – a plan to govern.”

Wrong. We are looking for someone who really will govern.

exactly— it is Trump’s plan to govern by building a wall and stopping illegal immigration and getting real trade deals with China and Mexico and building up our military and Veteran’s healthcare that attracts a lot of people..

And he’s doing conservatives too much good for any conservative to want him to leave!

The only candidate he’s hurting is Bush.
He’s our perfect storm... for now.

Next Christmas they should have that old Dickens play but update it to utilize the ghost of Megyn Kelly’s career.

YES or NO: Should the first priority be to get Jeb, Christie, and Graham out of the race?

Is it really “fun” to have every single thing you’ve ever said or done scrutinized with a fine-toothed comb?

I hope Trump realizes that is exactly what he’s signed up for.

LOL, people are basing their vote on trade deals with China and Mexico? Since when are those top issues?

Building up our military is a standard Republican position for almost everyone except Rand. Almost all of them agree on the border fence as well.

The premise of this article is EXACTLY RIGHT. People are not voting for Trump based on the issues AT ALL. He’s been vaguer on more issues than almost any other candidate. It’s his personality they like. Many are also dazzled by his celebrity. And some may admire his personal financial success.

The polls show the more uneducated voters are going for Trump. There’s a reason why.

Also, Santorum has been pushing for trade protectionism policies more than Trump, since even the last primary. So Trump’s not “winning” on that issue either.

I am pretty sure he knew that. That is why he never explains and never apologizes. The ‘Pubbies could learn from that.
