Russia says 'early details' of plan to fight Islamic State start to emerge [Ezekiel 38]

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday "early details" of how to coordinate international efforts to fight Islamic States have started to emerge.

Lavrov was speaking at a joint news conference with Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir. He said Moscow and Riyadh agreed that international players should join ranks to counter the Sunni jihadists who control swathes of Syria and Iraq...

As the Middle East turns to Russia and Putin for stability given America's (and NATO's) feckless foreign policy, Russia is becoming the "world's policeman" in the Middle East and Mediterranean. The Bible Predicts that that Russia in the last days will make one last push to control world events. The prophet Ezekiel, in Ezekiel 38-39, predicted 2500 years ago that the country to the extreme north of Israel, Magog, would lead a coalition invasion of Israel and Palestine. The coalition would be led by a strong ruler who Ezekiel called Gog (Putin is a good candidate with his 80% approval rating). Among the nations that Gog would muster are the following; Iran, Turkey, Trans-caucus States, Sudan, and Libya.

Ezekiel goes on to predict that this invasion will be disastrous for Russia and its coalition nations. G-d himself shall send earthquakes, pestilence, and other natural disasters causing all the coalition nations to fight each other until all are almost destroyed...

Ezekiel 38:2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, 3 And say , Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: 4 And I will turn thee back , and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth , and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: 5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: 6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. 7 Be thou prepared , and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them. 8 After many days thou shalt be visited : in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

Well this is great. Russia is about to attack ISIS. We fly top cover for them and supply them. What could possibly go wrong?

Do you really think that this anti-ISIS coalition, if it even happens, will swerve off course and attack Israel?

If you think this is about the biblical Last Days, take another look at your Bible. There are about a dozen mentions of the Last Days in the New Testament. The completion of NONE of them can be placed outside the first century.

I think I posted this years ago. I recall posting one time about not being able to see a scenario where Russia would be invading but the U.S. Would be sitting it out.

Things escalate quickly...and the Bible says it will happen some day.

Preterism is partially true, but not totally. Many prophesies in the Bible have multiple fulfillments with an Eschaton. Ezekiel 38 has never been fulfilled.

Not sure how this will work out, but Putin must do something. His country is in economic shambles because of low priced oil. The only thing they have left is Natural Gas sales, but Israel’s huge gas field finds could take the place of Russia. What will Putin do???
