I disagree - he should go after her again. The PC “gotcha media” is definitely an issue, and a big one, and the sooner it is defanged the better.

I’d be fine with either approach. Not answering her would be an obvious snub.
I’d suggest they do both - talk about issues after they start off mocking the question by saying something like:
“You know, I thought it was silly when President Obama said climate change was more of a threat than Isis - but at least he was comparing Isis to an issue that some voters care about - as opposed to your question, which frankly deserves no answer other than that. So here are the issues I care about ...”.
