I think people are misunderstanding what he really said. He said he THINKS they do some good things - not that they DO. He also said he would look into that. I’m taking a wait and see attitude on this. He hasn’t had time to delve into the issue that much, but needs to bone up - I don’t think you can allocate money or maybe you can - to certain aspects of funding. I just don’t know. However, it would be better to strip all funding and send those finances to other health care providers of women’s services. What is obvious is that Congress has no intentions of defunding them at all, and they control the purse strings - unfortunately for us with the wimps who are in office.

"SUPPOSEDLY they do some other cancer screenings...at least that has been the claim. Personally I don’t know - I hate PP"

PP isn't needed for that. There are lots of free clinics.

That hellpit needs to be defunded and destroyed.

Trump is asking Americans to make him the leader of the country. It’s his responsibility to be informed before he opens his mouth. With all due respect to you, FRiend, I don’t want any excuses about how he hasn’t had time to bone up.

Money is fungible. If you think the funds Trump wants to allocate wouldn’t end up paying for abortions, you’re mistaken.

Trump is a Democrat who’s trying to sound conservative. He’s bound to screw it up.

You totally misunderstood what I said. He has a lot of ideas and if you read his book, he spells out what he believes - I’m just saying I’m not sure you can dissect those monies, and YES I believe that the money would continue to be used for abortions. He doesn’t have access at this point to the funding aspects - nor do any of the candidates. I believe their funding should be dried up and sent to other agencies that don’t do abortions.

Ted Cruz doesn’t have access, either, but he’s been calling for the defunding of PP all along...no exceptions, no qualifications.

I’m not interested in Trump’s books. Two weeks ago he admitted he’s a Democrat. With that, and what I’ve read about him, and knowing his past, I believe I’m sufficiently informed about him.

So when Trump gets the nomination are you going to get drunk and vote for him like you did Romney? :-)

I totally agree. I knew someone who said she went there for low cost Gyn care...I didn’t ask a ton of questions about it but PP have claimed they do other stuff. I think they should be run off the earth. Hellpit is a good description.

Well, we saw how trying to defund PP worked in the Congress, didn’t we? Cruz tried to get it defunded and even have an amendment attached to another bill. I tiddn’t work and won’t work until we have a change in leadership in both houses. You aren’t sufficiently informed on Trump - you just think you are. I’m not all in for him, as I’m keeping my options open. I know who I won’t support, but haven’t decided who I will. Cruz is one I’m seriously considering.

Courage! Courage! This is MSM misinformation! Trump said he was sure there must be good things that Planned Parenthood does, but that the abortion mills have got to be defunded.

If Donald keeps this up, he will crash and burn, and Cruz will move into top position, if not immediately, eventually.

Businessman Trump is unfamiliar with the term "fungible"? He must certainly be stupid --- or else he´s counting on all the rest of us being stupid.

The Hyde Amendment, which prohibits the use of federal funds for direct abortion-related "services," has been a rider attached to funding bills for 40 years now. Not that it amounts to anything: it´s just a bookkeepers´ trick, since anybody can move money from one column to another.

So via funding for "non-abortion services," the PP abortion biz (de facto, not de jure) has been subsidized for 40 years now.

Oh me oh my. A federal funding shell game? I'm shocked. And Trump didn´t know? But bluster on, Donald, bluster on.

"So when Trump gets the nomination are you going to get drunk and vote for him like you did Romney? :-)"

First of all, let me note that you're still pushing Trump, even though he admits he's open to funding PP. See, this is what supporting liberals does to a person.

I don't drink to get drunk. I'm a lightweight, and I don't like the spectacle of women smashed to the gills.

I did cave and vote for Romney. Won't go into details here, but the result was a spiritual crisis that taught me a good, long, hard lesson about voting for liberals.

In other words, I will never cast a vote for your Democrat Trump. I don't care if the Antichrist is his opponent. It's not going to happen.

Besides, he's not going to be the nominee. Sorry, GG.

Think about how filthy those places are. They would be the worst place in the world for “health care”, even aside from the murdering they do.

OK so you will never vote for Trump which means on election night you will be sitting home.

So, oh, tell us, expert on all things Trump - you know him personally or what? None of us know any of these candidates personally - we only hear what they say on the stump. IF they are in Congress, they have a record, but that doesn’t mean that we still know them. We only know what we perceive or project onto a certain person.

Planned Parenthood shouldn’t be funded by taxpayer dollars.

Trump needs to rethink this. Hopefully his handlers will get to him. If he sticks with this “funding the good parts” he will not be the nominee. Every time he appears on CNN they get him one way or the other. He’ll spend all day tomorrow explaining this. Another wasted day.

Well, we don’t vote on election night. That’s when the returns come in. We vote during the day.

I’ll vote for any conservatives who might be downticket. If there are none, don’t know where I’ll be. At home...shopping...having my teeth cleaned...the possibilities are endless and it’s too early to tell. ;)

I sure don’t know who gave him this idiotic advice, or if he came up with it himself. He really needs to rethink this - if he wants to win.
