If Boehner and McConnell are hated so bad, why in hell did those who are our supposed representatives pup them in those two positions?
Boehner told them they needed to prioritize party unity.
Or as I explained to my sellout rep, Boehner told them that loyalty to himself and to the party outweighed representing the constituents who had put them in office, and to whom the reps were promptly instructed to give the middle finger.
I can only hope Buddy Carter and the rest of his ilk are roundly defeated in ‘16.

In the case of McConnell it is the fault of stupid Senate rules regarding seniority.
In the case of Boehner, he was the ‘Old Man’ when the new Tea Party majority came into the scene in 2010. He persuaded them to ‘give him a chance’. They were deceived to say the least. By 2014 he had consolidated his control over campaign funds which are vital to a member’s reelection.
McConnell and Boehner are ruling party plants that exist to keep control of Congress in the hands of K Street.

Well, I have been wondering the same thing for some time. By guess is that Senators and Representatives fear their respective leader(s) more than they do their Constituants.
