United States Secretary of State John Kerry called his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on Thursday to express concern about a visit to Moscow by the commander of Iran’s covert forces, a senior State Department official said, according to AFP.

General Qassem Soleimani, head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps’ foreign operations, reportedly visited Russia late last month despite being subject to UN-backed international sanctions. […]

Soleimani is one of several Iranian officials targeted by a 2007 United Nations travel ban because of their alleged links to Iran’s nuclear or ballistic missile programs, but the sanctions against him are due to be lifted in the event the Iran nuclear deal is implemented. …

He was there to cement some arms purchases and support for Assad in Syria, you moron. The ink hasn’t dried yet and the Iranians have hung you out to dry.

Why is he so concerned? Worried Putin will displace him as Iran’s bff?

Interesting C-Span program this morning on a Heritage Foundation panel on the Iranian deal - an Italian commentator put it in perspective by saying that in reality negotiations between Iran and the Europeans parties ("The three plus three", whoever they may be) have been on-going since 2004, that Europeans consider the agreement a done-deal since it's gone through the UN already no matter what the US says or does, that sanctions take years before they begin to cut and be effective so the idea of "snap-back" sanctions if Iran misbehaves is an illusion, and that European companies are already cutting business deals with the Iranian powers, including one that has a five-hundred billion Euro proposition ready to go as soon as the agreement is officially adopted. His best line was something to the effect that the sanctions are already considered passé, "like traffic lights in my country are considered more a recommendation than a command"....

Obama will try to claim this deal as a major part of his "legacy", but in fact his involvement to any significant extent is a farce - as usual he is leading from behind, way behind.....

The time to be concerned was before you made this lousy, one sided Iranian deal. Weren’t you, John Kerry the one telling us how great and absolutely essential this deal was?

Must be a damned good deal, if you’re quaking in your boots within two weeks of agreeing to it.

You said: “Oh the idiot is concerned”

Article said: “called his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on Thursday to express concern about a visit to Moscow by the commander of Iran’s covert forces”

He will be “concerned” when the bomb he is allowing Iran to build, is dropped on his house. If I gave him an IQ test )I have given thousands of them), he would fail (no one can fail an IQ test as it gives a number for IQ), but he would fail due to the test having a bottom number for IQ and his would be lower than that number.

Obama KNOWS Iran will get the bomb but perhaps Kerry doesn’t have enough IQ numbers to realize that. How could any person with a normal IQ (90-110) be in those negotiations and not know they give the okay for Iran to continue to build the bomb?

Iran will bomb Israel and then us.

There used to be a nuclear clock where some group would change the number moving toward the time the bomb would be dropped when circumstances changed so the group thought we were closer to the bomb being dropped by some country - in earlier times, it was the Russians that caused this group to move the clock closer to the drop time. I wonder if this group still has that clock because Iran coming into the mix would surely move us closer to the drop time.

I found the Doomsday Clock and it’s still ticking. The clock is from the “Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists”. This is from their website and the link to it is below this quote:

“Today, more than 25 years after the end of the Cold War, the members of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists Science and Security Board have looked closely at the world situation and found it highly threatening to humanity—so threatening that the hands of the Doomsday Clock must once again be set at three minutes to midnight, two minutes closer to catastrophe than in 2014.”

So the clock’s hands are the closest to midnight they’ve been in thirty years, and, I just found out, only one minute away from their closest position to date in 1953.

All because of a demon in the White House who wants to see the country destroyed and a fool with the title of Secretary of State.

You’re exactly right, Marcella. Those Iranians can tell Kerry anything they want-—they’ve BEEN doing that-—and he’ll buy it. I have no doubt they leave meetings with Kerry and laugh their rears off as soon as they’re behind closed doors. Anyone can look at Kerry’s face and see the inherent stupidity.
