Two Female Ranger Students Set To Graduate
Daily Caller ^

Posted on 08/17/2015 6:21:20 PM PDT by Crystal Palace East

The two female Ranger students left in Ranger School will be the first women to ever graduate from the grueling course Friday.

Out of a total of 19 initial female students, two women will graduate come Friday at Fort Benning, Ga., and be allowed to wear the Ranger Tab, though because gender integration is still in the experimental phase, these women will not join the 75th Ranger Regiment, The Washington Post reports.

After a quick, first assessment, the 19 female hopefuls were chopped down to just eight female students. All eight then proceeded to fail the Darby Phase twice. The Army then gave three of the students an opportunity to start over from the beginning. This recycle is only granted occasionally.

Students moved through the Darby Phase, the Mountain Phase, and then finally to the Swamp Phase in Florida near Eglin Air Force Base, where 40 students and four instructors were placed in the hospital after being struck by lightning.

“Congratulations to all of our new Rangers. Each Ranger School graduate has shown the physical and mental toughness to successfully lead organizations at any level,” Secretary of the Army John McHugh said in a statement. “This course has proven that every Soldier, regardless of gender, can achieve his or her full potential. We owe Soldiers the opportunity to serve successfully in any position where they are qualified and capable, and we continue to look for ways to select, train, and retain the best Soldiers to meet our Nation’s needs.”

According to a senior Army official, both of the women are also graduates of West Point, the U.S. military school based in New York.

Ranger School has a 40 percent graduation rate

First of all I didn’t know Chase Field was active.

Second, when I was with VT-31 every pilot had to qualify to land on a carrier during the day and during the night. How could this woman have been assigned to an F14 Tomcat squadron and not be carrier qualified?

I guess the Marine Corps Infantry Officers Course is tougher than Ranger school.

That’s not my entire point Sargon. I don’t agree with females in combat arms period.

No, because men passing ranger school is neither news, nor political points for some liberal to claim.

I think Congress still has a law in place that forbids women from serving in front line units.

So basically they took slots from men, who would have been eligible to serve in front line units.

Apparently these women achieved something that they (the women) never achieved either.

“Hey pal, I really wish I could grab you by the strap on your ruck and haul you outta the way of those bullets ...
“I really do, yeah, the male “runt” of any Ranger squad could do it.
“See, I failed the upper body strength test, but they waved me through, so—well, see ya later and best of luck with that sucking chest wound.”

We had our first affirmative action Commander in Chief, might as well have affirmative action in the lower ranks too.

Officials have insisted that the women were not given an easier time, despite critics noting that the Obama administration is dead-set on integrating women into all combat roles in the military.

...

Aside from the reports the past few months about increased sleep, the lack of “smoke sessions,” lighter packing lists, the ridiculous requirement for male candidates to assist in constructing complex “poncho shelters” over slit trenches while trying to remain tactical in a patrol base, questionable “recycle” policies, and two-star generals walking squad patrols, the Ranger Instructors of the 4th Ranger Training Battalion were given a stark dose of reality. Nine days ago, on the exact same morning that graded patrols began in Florida, the RIs were informed by their chain of command that they were to begin preparation to have POTUS attend graduation this coming Friday.

Now, I’m no fortuneteller, but when the travel agent of the Commander-in-Chief contacts your organization, travel plans probably isn’t the message trying to be delivered. “Undue command influence” is something JAG officers warn leaders about, especially during election cycles and sensitive topics that can get young NCOs and company commanders in trouble.

I don’t get the point of having them go through all of that, several times, announcing that they passed, awarding them the tab, and then cutting them out of joining the regiment.

That's because incrementalism works best for social gender bending engineers. There will be female "Rangers" in the Ranger Regiment within the next 5 years. Bank on it. The standards have been beaten down, one female at a time. All hail diversity!!

Can you run 100 meters in 10.49 seconds? That’s the current women’s world record.

Yes, it’s part of the training.

Of the four you specifically mention, Ranger training is the easiest.

Not relevant. Ranger School is a leadership course for Officers and non Commissioned officers. It is not a selection course for the Ranger Regiment and it is not specific training for service in Special Operations units. The other courses that you mention are to prepare and qualify men to serve in Special Operations units.

It is strongly suspected that she was on steroids. Her time became better by a large margin in one year. She also increased muscle mass in a short time.

Also other athletes testified they had been sold steroids by her husband. Others say they knew she was on steroids.

Anyway her time was better by a huge margin than any other female. I still had a faster time in the 100.
