Donald Trump holds a big lead among Arizona Republican voters in a new poll as the outsiders and business members of the race for the presidential nod seem to be impressing state voters.

The poll was conducted by Mike Noble’s MBQF, a public affairs firm in Phoenix.

Trump garnered 28 percent of the support in the poll, up from 26.5 percent in a late July poll. Two other outsiders, surgeon Ben Carson and former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina are next with 15.2 percent and 10.4 percent, respectively. They both gained ground in the poll after the first GOP primary debate on Fox News.

Cruz is virtually tied with Bush.

Jeb Bush 9%

Ted Cruz 8.5%

This poll was conducted yesterday which makes me wonder if all those people polled would be aware of Trump's new immigration plan (which was released Sunday PM).

He might be even higher than 28% once the news gets out--a lot higher.

Jeb drops to 4th place.

He could be LAST place, and the way the Republican nomination rules are set up, he'll still handily carry the nomination.

Yep, Walker has faded drastically from the fast start he got in Iowa a couple of months back.

Can't wait to join you.

Meanwhile, we now have Trump up over Yeb 4:1 in AZ, 3:1 in AL, more than 2:1 in IA, NC, SC, FL, MI, and NH.

It's starting to be very hard for drive-bys to dismiss that he is the clear favorite here and, more important, that Yeb is getting absolutely buried.

Ted Cruz 8.5%

Cruz is “spiked” by the media mostly..

Trump IS NOT?.. why is that..

maybe they are afraid of a Cruz Presidency..
You know.. AS THEY SHOULD BE...

Trump does not threaten them at ALL..

Robert P

Robert P was this slow slightly overweight kid in the 4th grade. Probably the physically slowest kid in the class.

One day the teacher had the boys race, and not just any race, this was like 6 laps. It was the longest race we had ever been asked.

The guys all said we’d take it easy and save our energy until the later laps. And everybody did except Robert P. He hit it hard out of the gate. We knew he would crash after the second lap.

But he didn’t. By the time the 4th lap came around, Robert P had about a full lap on us all, and we didn’t have the energy to catch up to him.

Robert P, the slowest kid in class, won that day.

Wow. Such wisdom. Of course, Mitt at this point in 2012 had already taken the lead.

Your wrong-headed anti-Trumpism is duly noted, but for now, you appear to have very poor predictive skills. Trump leads in the STATE races by huge margins, and last time I looked, that's where the delegates came from.

Probably so but his shorten idea on income tax sounds great. It involves doing away with the current tax code and setting up a three tier withholding. No exemptions. Said we could file on a post card. Wish I knew more.
