Following shocking videos showing the Planned Parenthood abortion business selling aborted babies and their body parts, pro-life South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley has launched an official investigation. The state is one of 12 that have officially launched investigations while other states have de-funded Planned Parenthood.
The new investigation comes on the same day the organization that has released six videos exposing the scandal of Planned Parenthood selling aborted babies and their body parts released a new undercover video that catches the nation’s biggest abortion business harvesting the brain of an aborted baby who was still alive.
Haley asked the South Carolina health department to look into the practices at the state’s abortion clinics, according to a local news report, and complained that the state health department has been lax about inspecting abortion clinics:
In a letter to S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control director Catherine Heigel, Haley asks the agency to “engage in a prompt and comprehensive investigation of the policies and practices of abortion clinics in our state, prioritizing those affiliated with or owned by Planned Parenthood, its subsidiaries, and its affiliates.”
DHEC oversees the state’s abortion clinics, including one in Columbia run by Planned Parenthood. Other clinics are in Charleston and Greenville.
“Over the past weeks, I have been shocked by recent accounts of unethical practices at clinics affiliated with Planned Parenthood, particularly those regarding the sale of human fetal tissue,” Haley wrote.
The governor also cited findings of a S.C. Legislative Audit Council report issued in May that found DHEC failed to inspect abortion clinics consistently each year as required by state law.
The report also raised questions about the small number of patient files DHEC reviewed during some inspections, the training of inspectors and whether inspectors followed up to see if clinics corrected violations.
Governor Haley’s investigation follows on the heels of state lawmakers starting their own investigations to determine whether or not the Planned Parenthood abortion business is breaking any state or federal laws with its sales of aborted baby body parts.
South Carolina lawmakers have joined 11 other states and the U.S. Congress in calling for investigations into the abortion giant’s government funding sources. State Representative Garry Smith, R-Simpsonville, is spearheading the investigation in the State General Assembly with letters to the Legislative Audit Council and the House Oversight Committee.
“What has been revealed about the actions of Planned Parenthood is very concerning. The lack of humanity involved. I think any organization that would stoop to do those sorts of things are ones I wouldn’t feel comfortable with supporting in any manner [with state funding] ,” Representative Smith said.
The newest video, which follows Senate Democrats defeating a bill to de-fund Planned Parenthood, makes it appear the Planned Parenthood abortion business may be selling the “fully intact” bodies of unborn babies purposefully born alive and left to die.
Meanwhile, two committees in the House of Representatives have already launched investigations of Planned Parenthood. One committee is looking into whether or not the abortion business is breaking federal law by altering abortion procedures to better obtain aborted baby body parts for sale. Another committee, among other things, is investigating the Obama administration and whether there is any connection between it and the abortion giant.
The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform was to know if the Obama administration, via the Department of Health and Human Services, provided any federal grants to Planned Parenthood that ultimately went to pay for the sales of aborted baby body parts and if they were used by Planned Parenthood to “support transactions involving fetal tissue.”
The expose’ videos catching Planned Parenthood officials selling the body parts of aborted babies have shocked the nation.
As LifeNews reported, the first video of undercover footage shows Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Senior Director of Medical Services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, describing how Planned Parenthood sells the body parts of aborted unborn children and admitting she uses partial-birth abortions to supply intact body parts.
In the second video, Planned Parenthood doctor Mary Gatter discusses the pricing of aborted baby body parts — telling the biotech company officials that the prices for such things as a baby’s liver, head or heart are negotiable. She also tells the officials that she could talk with the Planned Parenthood abortion practitioners to potentially alter the abortion procedure to kill the baby in a way that would best preserve those body parts after the unborn child is killed in the abortion.
So far, 12 states have responded to the Planned Parenthood videos and launched investigations into their abortion and organ harvesting business including South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Kansas, Missouri, Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, Texas and Louisiana. The district attorney in Houston Texas is also investigating after the Houston-based Planned Parenthood abortion facility was caught selling aborted babies.
Congress has expanded its investigation into the Planned Parenthood abortion business and five states have revoked taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood’s abortion business, including Utah, Arkansas, Alabama, New Hampshire and Louisiana and Iowa’s governor has ordered a review of Planned Parenthood funding.
The full, unedited videos have confirmed that revelations that some aborted baby remains sold by Planned Parenthood go to biotech companies for the purpose of creating “humanized” mice. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood has been exposed as having sold body parts from aborted babies for as much as 15 years.
The federal law that technically prohibits the sale of aborted babies and their body parts was written by a pro-abortion Congressman decades ago and essentially spells out a process by which sellers of aborted baby body parts can meet certain criteria that allows the sales to be legal. That’s why a Colorado congressman has introduced legislation to totally ban the sales of aborted baby body parts.
It’s about time. What about the other 56 states?

Form a committee, launch an investigation, do more inspections, etc,. etc.How about use your executive power and shut them down, THEN launch an investigation. They remain closed pending the results of these investigations.
It is blatantly obvious this PP operation is selling babies and organs on a wholesale level. They are taking orders and scheduling the harvesting to fulfill these orders, much as a meat distributor schedules deliveries of beef “tissue” and pork “tissue” to local supermarkets.
When slaughterhouses find they can start cutting up and selling babies for $50,000 a pound, there will be a huge jump in demand for dead (or not so dead) babies.
I wonder how often they postpone abortions, to allow the baby parts to develop more.
