In an interview with FOX Business Networks Maria Bartiromo, GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump discussed who he admires most in foreign policy, military and business.
When you look at business, a guy like Jack Welch. I've always been a fan of Jack I actually did deals with Jack when he was at General Electric. And you know somebody like Jack Welch was certainly a great example. And there are so many of them. I've met so many corporate leaders, over the years, over the last four or five years in particular and so many that are so good. And people like, as an example, Larry Fink, I invest money,
I put money with different people, and Larry Fink -- done a great job, you know, he's done a great job for me. And, you know, with the money that I have given them to invest and others. There are so many people that I have great respect for. Unfortunately there are far more people that dont do a very good job, he said.
Trump said he thinks German Chancellor Angela Merkel is a great leader.
Fantastic leader. She's -- I was with somebody the other day who thinks she is the greatest leader in the world today ... the smartest and the greatest leader in the world today and this is a person that has great knowledge of her and deals with her, he said.
He said Vladimir Putin is someone that can be dealt with.

It’s all about the money. Start talking about exporting petroleum and LNG to Europe and he will change his tune.
....Vladimir Putin is someone that can be dealt with....
Its a sure thing that neither Obama, nor any Democrat in the race believes that.
As Trump wrote in his book, the key to negotiating, WITH ANYONE, is finding common ground to begin on. Unless BOTH sides can see something to gain from it, negotiations are useless from the start.
This isn’t rocket surgery, Machiavelli wrote about this stuff over 600 years ago.
With the Obamunists, and Radical Academic Socialists in general, it’s “My-Way-Or-The-Highway”. There is no room for negotiation. This is what I want, and you are going to bend to my will, OR ELSE.
They use the Soros/Omidyar “Non-Governmental Organizations” to get there way, creating chaos and unrest, when they can’t dictate what they want. You can witness this in action currently, from Russia and Ukraine, all the way back to Ferguson, Missouri and Seattle.
Down near the end they quote Trump as saying we must APPEAL Obamacare. He said nothing of the sort. He said we must REpeal Obamacare. I’m surprised that Bartiromo would overlook a gaffe like that. Does SHE hate Trump?
Bartiromo is a real journalist, unlike Megyn she tries to dig out the truth and rarely takes cheap shots. She’s tuff but she does not play the gotta ya game.
Just like Hillery (100,000 in donations) and Schumer (7,900 in contributions). He’s a businessman. He has to pay off corrupt politicians, Sheiks, and dictators and use the government to take people’s property.
I think it's personal.
Considering Trump isn’t interested in halting Russia’s reconquering of Eastern Europe, I imagine he’ll have no problem making deals with Putin.
You are very keen in advocating that a caravan must find a common ground with a dog. You are again talking for appeasement. The combined GDP of NATO nations is over 20 times larger than Russia’s. There is no “sit down behind table to talk business and meet in the middle” in economic terms when one side is a giant and other is an arrogant midget with delusions of grandeur.
First, you don’t walk in the door in Russia and insist that men buggering each other is your most important cause.
The main reason for all the difficulty with Russia is that our homosexual president was personally offended that Putin began banning the gay propaganda.
That was the press conference right after Obama threw a hissy fit about the Russian anti homo propaganda laws.
What a national embarrassment.
Now I read it through. That was dumb.
Merkel is only a force in economic matters. She is zero in anything that might benefit in having army to support your soft speaking as Germany does not have an army. Also what Putin hates is America and the place America has in the world order and not Obama. He hates everything American. Putin was just sucking up to Bush when he was weak and Russia was weak as the oil boom hadn’t happened yet.
If you read “Decision Points” then you see that the 2001 quote of “looking in the eyes and seeing soul” is not what Bush felt after Putin got a bit of the oil money and revealed himself.
That’s how Wars start.
It also shows you have little understanding of “The Art of Negotiation”.
As Machiavelli noted over 600 years ago, it takes TWO to negotiate. What you want is diktat.
Just press the reset button and it will be all fine.
