for one he claims the 14th Amendment was written for the Native Americans...it wasn’t...

Cruz did remember to throw in that pesky “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof” part. That does make a difference.
14th amendment and birthright citizenship
Or Cruz should comment on Steve King's current bill in Congress, HR 140 introduced in January 2015. Every year such a bill has been introduced in Congress to eliminate birthright citizenship. There is no consensus among constitutional scholars that the 14th amendment needs to be amended. The only way to find out is to pass the bill in Congress.
