Supporters Hold Over 200 Watch Parties for Cruz Rally for Religious Liberty

HOUSTON, Texas – After seeing more than 2,500 attend Friday’s Rally for Religious Liberty in Des Moines, IA, the Cruz for President campaign announced that there were more than 200 watch parties held around the country to view the rally. Those hosting the parties were given special access to watch online and invite their friends and neighbors to their homes or churches.

“It was important for us to have our nationwide leadership use this opportunity to invite their communities to hear more about religious liberty from Senator Cruz,” said Campaign Manger Jeff Roe. “We couldn’t be more pleased with the response. It shows there is widespread interest in Cruz’s message and his fight to protect Americans’ religious liberty.”

Several watch parties in the early election states of New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada drew several dozen participants. More than two dozen activists from South Carolina visiting Ohio for a separate event took the time to gather and watch Cruz and his religious liberty heroes online.

This is good! These watch parties constitute the type of ground game you have to have in Iowa. These polls they are doing now seem to include registered republicans, but what will matter in February is caucus going republicans, and those are going to be the people who were at the watch parties.

Cruz wants to sound like there’s excitement for him too after Trump’s 30,000 strong Alabama speech, but the excitement for Cruz is no where at Trump’s level.

Ground game is how you win and they’re saying his is the best going.

I’ve already had one of his people show up at my gate and we don’t vote till next spring.

In the sound bites I’ve heard lately, Ted sounds like he’s trying too hard to sound passionate and it comes across as phony ( to me).

Nine green dots versus four. Somebody better get the word
out to those people being polled.

Trump is a candidate with a limitless reservoir of past nonsensical, contradictory statements for his debate competitors to exploit. As attrition reduces the number of candidates, and the remaining candidates all get more time to speak and interact, it is going to become harder and harder for Trump to avoid being called on his past positions, contributions, and statements.

Yeah, I think Ted is feeling some pressure right now, and just needs to hold the course until the field narrows. At that point, he will get more speaking time in debates, and more air time in the media to get his message out. And all Cruz supporters need to keep sending in at least some contributions.

Coincidentally, all of those same candidates come off as hypocrites, politicians and freaks of one kind or another. You overestimate how immunized Trump is when the guy criticizing you is a retarded looking guy like Jeb Bush, or an effeminate, whining sissy like Rand Paul, or an amnesty pimp like Rubio.

As we discussed last time, Cruz is NOT as strong as Trump on immigration. Cruz supports legal status (albeit without a pathway to citizenship) and has shied away even from the notion of self-deportation because of its perceived harshness.

For that reason alone, I can’t support Cruz for the top of the ticket.

If you’re weak on illegal aliens, your conservative bonafides don’t count for shit.

Don’t worry about the manipulators. They ooze up out of the slime for every election and try to destroy confidence in everybody else’s candidates.

That’s another thing that’s turned me off from him over the past couple of weeks. He is too deliberate in his language, too controlled, everything well rehearsed. I can’t stand it!

Though, adding to my previous post, the reason why he comes off artificial is because he probably focuses more on message control than any other candidate due to his law training. You can’t mimic passion though unless you’re a good actor.

Our Standard: The Constitution

Ted Cruz has spent a lifetime fighting to defend the Constitution — our nation’s founding document and the supreme law of the land — which was crafted by our founding fathers to act as chains to bind the mischief of government and to protect the liberties endowed to us by our Creator.

Religious Liberty

Second Amendment

U.S. Sovereignty

Government Overreach

Stronger, Safer America

army-2015

A safer, stronger America safeguards freedom at home and across the globe. That’s why Ted Cruz has fought tirelessly to defend our nation’s servicemen and women, to restore America’s leadership in the world, and to secure our border and streamline our legal immigration system.

Life, Marriage & Family

Without life, there is no liberty. And ensuring every child is born into a home with a loving family provides the best chance for that child to achieve anything. That is why Ted Cruz has been on the front lines defending life and standing up for marriage when it has come under assault from activist judges.

Jobs & Opportunity

landing_bg3

The American Dream — the idea that anyone, through hard work and determination, can achieve anything — is under assault like never before. Obamacare, an overreaching federal government, and out of control spending threaten the ability of small businesses and entrepreneurs to create jobs and innovate. This has to stop and Ted Cruz has led the way to bring back jobs, growth, and opportunity to America.
