If I needed to fly to Israel, I’d prefer El Al. Best security in the industry.
True, but El Al does not fly on the Sabbath (Saturdays). So, if your tour begins or ends on a Saturday, you have to arrange and pay for an extra hotel night, possibly two.
Then there is the matter of getting from one’s home to the very limited number of airports where El Al has service. So that likely requires the added cost of a second airline where the combined fares likely would be more than flying all the way on American or another US carrier serving Israel.
