Now he wants a wall with a really nice door for the good ones (I.e. Amnesty). No inconsistency with his earlier position except Mexico pays for a wall.
As our immigration law is now, if they are actually deported they cannot just come back and it is all but impossible for them to come here legally after being deported. This is why the supporters of illegals say our immigration law needs to be reformed to make it easier for them to come here legally- they mean after they have violated our immigration law to begin with it is hard for them to ever become legal. So without changing immigration law letting some or the “good ones” come back it is not going to happen legally.
That is part of the beauty of a plan to secure the border and deport- if it really gets done then our immigration law will work if enforced. It is another reason if there is a serious crack down on illegal immigration many will leave on their own in droves. They know if they are actually deported it will be all but impossible for them to ever be legal here.
This is why the mantra of supporters of illegal immigration have pushed so hard for “immigration reform” they want to take away any penalty for being deported.
