I am very careful to use the word “concern” rather than fear.

The Lord is in control. There is nothing to fear. However, mankind makes all sorts of boneheaded decisions that cost not only the decision makers, but innocent victims as well. Anne Frank comes to mind.

I’ve watched world events unfold for many decades. I am hyper aware of what is happening right now and the world is ripe for the “strong man”.

If you lived through the Carter years with double digit inflation, gas lines, and our embassy people taken hostage by Iran, we were ripe for a "strong man" at that time too. The "strong man" then was Ronald Maximus Reagan. Those hostages were released the same day he was inaugurated, the double digit inflation and gas lines became history during his presidency. It was like the country was under "new management".

In some ways, Trump reminds me of Reagan, speaking strength and victory back into America, instead of weakness, defeat, and political correctness. Strong men are not necessarily to be feared.

I don’t want a strong man. But nobody in the party besides Cruz is slightly interested in anything like what the founders envisioned.
And so much damage has been done by the recent revolutionary socialist government that some very big corrections need to be made.
Ten million illegal aliens need to leave. Trade has to benefit Americans. The military officer corps needs to be gutted of the social experiment MBA type wusses, foreign policy should benefit America and be something more than constant war.
There has never been a time in American history where we have spent 15 years at war.

Huge changes need to happen, so a republican who will hold the wheel and be comforting for a 4 to 8 years wont cut it.

I think Cruz is awesome, but I don’t see him being dynamic enough. I think a Cruz partnership with Trump would be idea. It would ground Trump in the constitution, but still give us Trumps attitude.
